幼少時代の事を教えて下さい

昔から⾝⻑が⾼かったので「モデルを⽬指したら」と⾔われる事がありました。 中三の時、地元の名古屋でスカウトされた時は、「モデルになるチャンスかもしれない」と舞い上がりました。 だけど、ちょうど⾼校受験前だったので、名刺だけもらって誰にも相談しませんでした。

Tell us about your childhood.

I was always tall, so people would often suggest, "Why don't you aim to be a model?" When I was in my third year of junior high, I was scouted in my hometown of Nagoya. I got excited, thinking it might be my chance to become a model. However, since it was right before high school entrance exams, I just took the business card and didn't consult anyone.

どうやってモデルになったのですか

⾼校進学後、⾏きつけの美容院で何気なくスカウトされた話をしました。 すると、美容師さんが「事務所紹介するよ」と言ってくれて。 ⺟は私がモデルになる事を⼼配しましたが、⽗は「チャレンジして無理だったら就職すればいい」と。 学業を投げ出さないことを条件に、応援してもらえる事になりました。

How did you become a model?

After starting high school, I casually mentioned the scouting incident at my regular hair salon. The hairstylist said, "I can introduce you to an agency." My mother was worried about me becoming a model, but my father said, "If it doesn't work out, you can always get a regular job." With the condition that I wouldn't neglect my studies, they agreed to support me.

デビューしてすぐチャンスが来ました

「セブンティーン」の専属モデルオーディションでグランプリを頂きました。 モデルと学校の両立は⼤変でしたが、元々私はストイックな性格なので頑張れました。 周囲の求める事に応えたいという気持ちも強かったと思います。

You got an opportunity soon after your debut.

I won the grand prize in the "Seventeen" exclusive model audition. Balancing modeling with school was tough, but I'm naturally quite disciplined, so I managed. I think my strong desire to meet the expectations of those around me also helped.

その後も着々とキャリアを積みましたね

ありがとうございます。ただ、⼆⼗歳を過ぎた頃、これまでの活動をふと振り返ったんです。 モデルになるという夢は叶ったけど、夢と現実のギャップもあるなって。 私は今後どんなモデルになりたいのかなって。 その答えの一つが、⾒た⽬の美しさだけじゃなく、内⾯が素敵な女性を⽬指したいということでした。

You've steadily built your career since then.

Thank you. However, after I turned 20, I started to reflect on my past activities. I achieved my dream of becoming a model, but I also felt the gap between dreams and reality. I began to wonder what kind of model I wanted to be in the future. One of the answers I found was that I wanted to aim to be a woman who is not only beautiful on the outside but also has a wonderful inner self.

内面が充実している女性は魅力的ですね

そうですよね。その為に、どうしたら⾃然体でいられるのか考え始めました。 ストイックになることも大切ですが、同じぐらい肩の⼒を抜く事も大事なんですよね。 そのバランスを取るのがとても難しいんだけど。 それで、思い切って環境を変えることで⾃然体でモデル活動をしたいと思い、NMT inc.に移籍しました。

A woman with a fulfilling inner life is indeed attractive.

Exactly. I started thinking about how I could be my natural self. While being disciplined is important, it's equally important to relax. Balancing these aspects is very challenging. So, I decided to change my environment and transfer to NMT inc. to pursue modeling more naturally.

移籍していかがですか

今までとは違った経験をしています。 表現⼒を磨くのは勿論ですが、モデルとしてだけではなく社会⼈としてどう⽣きるのかを感じながら過ごすようになりました。 自分にも他人にも⾔い訳せず、どうすればベストな結果を導き出せるのかシンプルに考える。 それが、結局は⾃分を⼤切にする事だと気づいたんです。

How has it been since the transfer?

I'm having different experiences now. Of course, I'm honing my expressive abilities, but I'm also spending time thinking about how to live not just as a model but as a member of society. I realized that being honest with myself and others, and thinking simply about how to achieve the best results, ultimately means valuing myself.

ところで、沢山の資格も取得しましたね

そうですね。ヨガは撮影以外にもインストラクターとして活動しています。 最近は「ワインエキスパート」の資格も取得したので、ワインに関するお仕事もできたらいいですね。

You've obtained many qualifications, haven't you?

Yes, I have. I practice yoga not only for shoots but also work as an instructor. Recently, I obtained the "Wine Expert" qualification, so I hope to do some work related to wine as well.

最後に一言お願いします

モデルとして自ら⾏動して責任を負う事で、⾃信が湧くのを痛感しています。 これからも色々なフェーズがあると思いますが、時には立ち止まりながらも前に進んでいきたいと思います。

Finally, do you have a message for us?

I have realized that taking action and being responsible as a model brings confidence. There will be many phases ahead, but I intend to move forward, sometimes pausing, but always progressing.
