モデル業界に入ったきっかけは

高校生の時に「神戸コレクション」の会場でスカウトされました。 昔からファッションが大好きだったので、よくファッションショーを観に行っていました。

What made you enter the modeling industry?

I was scouted at the "Kobe Collection" event when I was in high school. I've always loved fashion, so I often went to watch fashion shows.

人前に立つのは得意でしたか

全然得意じゃなかったんです。幼少時は緊張するタイプで写真はいつも端っこ（笑）。 ただ、ファッション誌やお洒落は好きだったから、モデルには漠然と憧れていました。

Were you good at standing in front of people?

Not at all. I was a nervous type when I was a child and always stood at the edge in photos. But I liked fashion magazines and dressing up, so I vaguely admired being a model.

おとなしいタイプだったんですね

そうなんです。モデルを始めてから少し性格が変わったのかもしれません。 そういえば、「モデルをやりたい」と家族に伝えた時、物凄く驚かれました（笑）。

You were a quiet type, weren't you?

Yes, I was. Maybe my personality changed a bit after I started modeling. I remember my family being really surprised when I told them I wanted to be a model.

両親は反対しませんでしたか

反対はされませんでした。 ただ、父が学業に厳しかったので、大学に入学してから本格的にモデルを始めました。

Did your parents oppose it?

They didn't oppose it. However, my father was strict about academics, so I started modeling seriously after entering university.

ファッションが好きになったきっかけは

昔から母や妹と洋服を見に行くことが多かったからかな。 母が私達に可愛い服を着せるのが好きだったので。

What made you love fashion?

I guess it was because my mother and sister often took me shopping for clothes. My mother loved dressing us in cute clothes.

結衣さんのハッピー感は誰の影響ですか

家族から沢山のパワーをもらっています。 友達みたいに仲が良いので、年に数回旅行をします。 実家に帰ると自分らしくいられるので居心地が良いんです。

Who influences your happy demeanor?

I get a lot of energy from my family. We're like friends, and we go on trips several times a year. I feel most comfortable and myself when I go back to my hometown.

何をしている時が１番楽しいですか

アウトドア好きなので、身体を動かしている時かな。 最近は、サウナが生活の一部になっています。 体質改善やスキンコンディションを整えられるし。 あっ、本当はサウナ後のビールが楽しみで整えているのかも（笑）。 休日は気持ちをリセットする為にも、好きな時に好きな事をするようにしています。

When do you have the most fun?

I like outdoor activities, so I feel happiest when I'm moving my body. Recently, saunas have become a part of my life. They help improve my physical condition and skin. Actually, I might be enjoying the beer after the sauna the most. On my days off, I reset my mind by doing what I love whenever I want.

結衣さんはグルメなイメージもあります

カフェ巡りが好きで、ネットで調べては色々行っています。 あと、食事は何を食べるかより誰と食べるかが大切。 大切な人達と楽しい時間を共有することに幸せを感じます。

You also have a gourmet image.

I love visiting cafes and often search the internet for new places to go. Also, I think it's more important who you eat with than what you eat. I find happiness in sharing enjoyable times with important people.

京都から上京した時の事を教えて下さい

とにかく初めての事だらけで、「東京、キラキラしてるなぁ」といつも感じていました（笑）。 当初はモデルをしていましたが、演技のワークショップに参加したのがきっかけで、ドラマや映画に出演するようになりました。

Tell us about when you moved from Kyoto to Tokyo.

Everything was new to me, and I always felt like "Wow, Tokyo is so dazzling". Initially, I was modeling, but I started appearing in dramas and movies after participating in acting workshops.

幅広く活動してきたんですね

役者を始めて自分と向き合う時間が増えていく中、「私が本当にやりたい事は何だろう」という葛藤が生まれました。 そんな時、たまたまファッション誌のお仕事を頂いたんです。 撮影後、「あぁ、私はやっぱりファッションが好きだな」と強く感じました。 その日をきっかけに、もう一度本気でファッションモデルを目指そうと決めたんです。

You've been active in a wide range of fields.

As I started acting and spending more time reflecting on myself, I struggled with what I really wanted to do. At that time, I happened to get a job in a fashion magazine. After the shoot, I strongly felt, "Oh, I really do love fashion." That day made me decide to seriously pursue a career as a fashion model again.

役者の経験がプラスに働くと思います

そう信じています。 役者を経験したからこそ、自分にしか出来ない表現があると思うので。

Do you think your acting experience will be beneficial?

I believe so. Having experienced acting, I think there are expressions that only I can do.

これまでの経験を振り返ってどうですか

人との繋がりが大事だなと思いました。 この仕事は１人では出来ないので、常に感謝の気持ちを忘れないように心掛けています。 沢山失敗もしましたが、その都度必ず手を差し伸べてくれる人がいるんです。

Looking back on your experiences, what do you think?

I realized that connections with people are important. This job can't be done alone, so I always try to remember to be grateful. I've made many mistakes, but there's always someone to lend a hand.

それは心強いですね

最近だと、NMT inc.のスタッフですね。 モデルとしてキャリアアップできる事務所を探していく中で、この事務所に辿り着きました。 事務所のスタッフが温かく迎え入れてくれたことに心が救われました。 やっぱり、１人じゃできないなと改めて感じましたね。

That's reassuring.

Recently, it's been the staff at NMT inc. While looking for an agency where I could advance my career as a model, I ended up here. The warm welcome from the agency's staff was very comforting. It made me realize once again that I can't do it alone.

所属してみていかがですか

本当にアットホームな事務所で、一人一人ときちんと向き合ってくれる環境だと思います。 良い環境だからこそ、「これからの私を見ていて下さい」という気持ちで一杯です。

How has it been since you joined?

It's really a homely agency that faces each person properly. Because it's such a good environment, I feel full of determination, thinking, "Please watch me grow from now on."

最後に、今後の目標を一言お願いします

「この人でいい」じゃなく、「この人がいい」と思ってもらえるモデルになります。 ファッション誌やCMに出演できる様に頑張ります。

Lastly, what are your future goals?

I want to become a model who people say, "Not just anyone will do, it has to be her." I will work hard to appear in fashion magazines and commercials.
